Blue Tornado was vetted following the event.  It was reported that  the greyhound was found to have soreness in the left pencil muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Bye Bye Brad was slow to begin.  Alamo Mike and Macalister Tiger collided approaching the first turn checking Macalister Tiger.  Ragged Warrior and Alamo Mike collided on the first turn.  Alamo Mike galloped on Just Love on the first turn; Alamo Mike lost ground as a result.  Rare Gem, Bye Bye Brad, Macalister Tiger, Manarola and Rockin' Bar Lil collided on the first turn checking Rare Gem and Bye Bye Brad and severely checking Macalister Tiger.  Manarola contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground.  Rare Gem and Manarola collided approaching the home turn.

We Love Spolly was quick to begin.  Miss Gippsland, On The Runway and Dream Gem were slow to begin.  El Diamonte and Wanjiro collided soon after the start checking Wanjiro.  We Love Spolly checked off El Diamonte on the first turn.  Wanjiro galloped on Captain Jackie on the first turn checking Captain Jackie and severely checking Wanjiro and Dr. Dedra.  We Love Spolly checked off Captain Jackie approaching the home turn.  Captain Jackie and Miss Gippsland collided on the home turn.

Psychedelic Jay and Sale Graze Bindi were slow to begin.  Vis Vitae and Barroom Counsel collided approaching the first turn.  Lakeview Maisey raced wide throughout the event.

Track Maintenance, Mr. R. Stephen advised that the track was deeply harrowed on Wednesday 18th April, 2018.
