Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon, the representative of Dr. Diamontie regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Dr. Diamontie last raced on 24th December 2017. Mr. McMahon stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a spell.
Mr. W. McMahon, the representative of Dr. Diamontie declared a new weight of 27.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dr. Diamontie last raced at 25.9kgs.
Richo Richo Girl and Bless 'Em All were slow to begin. Dr. Diamontie galloped on Phil's In Luck soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Bless 'Em All faltered entering the back straight and pulled up. Blue Cat Wombat raced wide in the back straight. Phil's In Luck tailed off in the back straight.
Bless 'Em All was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock and was humanely euthanased.
Phil's In Luck was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness in the Thoraco-lumbar area, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
