Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon, the representative of Dr. Diamontie regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Dr. Diamontie last raced on 24th December 2017.  Mr. McMahon stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a spell.

Mr. W. McMahon, the representative of Dr. Diamontie declared a new weight of 27.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Dr. Diamontie last raced at 25.9kgs.

Richo Richo Girl and Bless 'Em All were slow to begin.  Dr. Diamontie galloped on Phil's In Luck soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Bless 'Em All faltered entering the back straight and pulled up.  Blue Cat Wombat raced wide in the back straight.  Phil's In Luck tailed off in the back straight.

Bless 'Em All was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock and was humanely euthanased.

Phil's In Luck was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness in the Thoraco-lumbar area, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Vanilla Kiss was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle injury, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Mallee Spring trialled over the 315m from box 1, weight 31.3kgs,  the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.33,  the greyhound won by a margin of 2 lengths.  Mallee Spring was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) -  Stewards spoke to Mr. W.McMahon, the trainer of Dr. Condor regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Dr. Condor last raced on 28th April, 2017.  Mr. McMahon stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A,  Dr. Condor trialled over the 315m, from box 5, weight 32.8kgs,  the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.33,  the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 13.75 lengths.   Dr. Condor was Cleared.  (Dr. Condor was severely checked on the first turn).

Satisfactory Trial Results - Dr. Leonardo trialled over the 315m, from box 8, weight 31.9kgs,  the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.33, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8.25 lengths. Dr. Leonardo was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) -  Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon, the trainer of Gilberto regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Gilberto last raced on 3rd June, 2017.  Mr. McMahon stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A,  Gilberto trialled over the 315m, from box 3, weight 33.1kgs,  the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.33, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7.75 lengths.  Gilberto was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Jensen, the representative of Empress Rose regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Empress Rose last raced on 1st September, 2017.  Mr. Jensen stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a seasonal spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Empress Rose trialled over the 315m from box 7, weight 26.6kgs,  the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.33,  the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2 lengths.   Empress Rose was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Monster Fish trialled over the 395m from box 1, weight 34.3kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.55, the greyhound won by a margin of 6.00 lengths.   Monster Fish was Cleared.
