Stewards spoke to Mr B Pursell, the representative of Slingshot Maxi, regarding the length of time the gryehound has had between races. Slingshot Maxi last raced on 27 October 2017. Mr Pursell stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a back muscle injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Slingshot Maxi.
Darb's The Man, Donna O'Muffin and Dyna Bella were slow to begin. Destini Firefox and Dyna Bella collided soon after the start.
