Steward's Report
Dr. Chella, No Sugar and Country Gal were slow to begin. Surfonic Pearl and Hurricane Cindy were slow to begin. No Sugar crossed to the inside soon after the start. Dr. Chella and No Sugar collided soon after the start checking No Sugar. Assasins Code and Alonso Power collided approaching the first turn checking Assasins Code. Oni galloped on the heels of Alonso Power on the first turn checking Alonso Power and Surfonic Pearl and severely checking Oni and Dr. Chella. Hurricane Cindy galloped on the heels of No Sugar on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Hurricane Cindy clipped the heels of No Sugar entering the home straight.
No Sugar was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. T. Whitford, the trainer of No Sugar regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Stewards took into consideration that this was the greyhound's first start.
