Stewards spoke to T.Deglaitis trainer of Cawbourne Trick  regarding the length of time the greyhound had between races. Cawbourne Trick last raced on 17 January 2018. Mr Deglaitis  stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a change of kennel.

No Secrets was quick to begin. Murrabit Benny was slow to begin and stumbled soon after the start. Why Not Fletch, Blazin' Ruby and Usara Allen collided soon after the start, checking Usara Allen and Blazin' Ruby. Little Snitzel checked off Cawbourne Trick on the first turn. Why Not Fletch checked off Cawbourne Trick approaching the home turn. Big Cam and Cawbourne Trick collided approaching the home turn, checking Cawbourne Trick. Underrated was very slow to begin (4 Lengths). Prince Mark was quick to begin. Murrabit Tiny and Go Saints collided approaching the first turn, checking Murrabit Tiny. Fernando's Flare and Piriformis collided approaching the home turn, checking Piriformis. Underrated eased in the home straight. Murrabit Tiny and Underrated collided in the home straight, checking Murrabit Tiny. Underrated eased in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Hammerstein, the trainer of the greyhound Underratted regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Underrated was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind paw. No stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Underrated with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Hammerstein pleaded guilty to the charge, Underrated was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Shadow Bo was slow to begin. Marlee and Go Barny Go collided approaching the home turn, checking Go Barny Go and Magic Muzza, and severely checking Marlee, which fell as a result. Shadow Bo checked off Hawkie on the home turn.

Marlee was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Steward's spoke to Mr. J. Chircop, trainer of On Time Johnny in regards to his premature boxing of the greyhound, and issued him with a warning (GAR 51).

Al's Luck was slow to begin. Go Seek Fernando and Emily Skye collided approaching the first turn, checking Emily Skye. Apache Bro, Voodoo Hustler, Go Seek Fernando and Crackerjack Tags collided on the first turn, checking Apache Bro, Voodoo Hustler and Crackerjack Tags. Al's Luck checked off Maharani approaching the home turn. Voodoo Hustler and Maharani collided on the home turn. Voodoo Hustler and Emily Skye collided entering the home straight, and again in the home straight. Arpache Bro and Blackpool Alexis collided approaching the winning post.

Hair Trigger was a late scratching at 6.04pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an elavated temperarture. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
