Oh So Nitro was quick to begin.  Dr. Annie and Sisco Bella crossed out soon after the start checking Drama Club, Pinky Tuscadero and Ebb and severely checking Sisco Bella.  Pinky Tuscadero and Ebb collided approaching the first turn causing Drama Club and Pinky Tuscadero to collide checking Sisco Bella.  Oh So Nitro and Dr. Annie collided approaching the second turn.  Oni raced wide approaching the second turn.  Drama Club crossed out approaching the second turn checking Pinky Tuscadero and severely checking Ebb.  Sisco Bella was checked off Drama Club in the back straight.  Sisco Bella and Drama Club collided on the third turn checking Drama Club.  Drama Club and Oni collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Dr. Lola was slow to begin.  Siamese Dream and Big Butterbean collided soon after the start checking Big Butterbean.  Honeysuckle Jim, Annasay and Siamese Dream collided approaching the first turn checking Annasay.  Josie Rose crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Avalon Sisco.  Big Butterbean was checked off Annasay on the first turn and again approaching the second turn causing Dr. Lola to race wide.  Honeysuckle Jim was checked off Avalon Sisco on the second turn and again approaching the third turn.  Annasay was checked off Avalon Sisco on the third turn.  Big Butterbean tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Galea regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Avalon Sisco.  Stewards directed that Avalon Sisco be boxed first in future events.

Galloping Flash was slow to begin.  Rumbling was checked off Double Black on the first turn.  No More Sisco and Galloping Flash collided on the first turn.  No More Sisco was checked off Double Black on the first turn causing No More Sisco to check off Rumbling; Rumbling and Galloping Flash were checked as a result.  No More Sisco and Galloping Flash collided on the second turn.  Rumbling galloped on Double Black in the back straight severely checking Double Black.  No More Sisco and Galloping Flash collided on the third turn and again approaching the home turn.

Cambo's Girl and Dobre collided soon after the start checking Dobre.  Cambo's Girl crossed to the outside on the first turn checking Sisco Yes.  Cambo's Girl eased approaching the second turn.

Cambo's Girl was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.  Mrs. McMahon declined her option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. McMahon the trainer of the greyhound Cambo's Girl regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Cambo's Girl with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mrs. McMahon pleaded not guilty to the charge, Cambo's Girl was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Tiggerlong Ray was a late scratching at 8.40am due to illness.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards inspected Tiggerlong Ray this morning and will hold an enquiry at Geelong on 19/01/18 into the reason for the late scratching of the greyhound.

Ronnie's Flyer was quick to begin.  Brandeen Fi and Black Shirley were slow to begin.  Black Shirley was checked off Big Skeeta approachng the first turn.  Totally Bullish crossed to the rail on the first turn causing Malick to gallop on Ronnie's Flyer checking Malick and Totally Bullish and severely checking Ronnie's Flyer, Brandeen Fi and Liberty Sage were checked as a result.  Hypo Chared was checked off Black Shirley entering the back straight checking Liberty Sage.  Malick and Totally Bullish collided on the second turn.  Black Shirley was checked off Malick approaching the home turn.

Loadstar trialled over 525 metres from box 8, weight 33.6kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 31.54 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.25 lengths.  Loadstar was cleared
