A pre-race sample was taken from Doc Nam.
Twilight Shae was slow to begin. Scarlet Magic, Emgee Sprinter and Pepper Shannon collided soon after the start checking Twilight Shae. Emgee Sprinter, Pepper Shannon and Twilight Shae collided on the first turn checking Twilight Shae and Better Way and severely checking Pepper Shannon. Scarlet Magic and Emgee Sprinter collided on the home turn.
Scarlet Magic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a thoraco-lumbar injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
