A pre-race sample was taken from Miss Cheekiness.
Burning Steel and Jasper's Best were slow to begin. Kroes, Nash Road Kylie and Aston Venus collided soon after the start checking Kroes and Nash Road Kylie. Masquerading, Kroes and Nash Road Kylie collided approaching the first turn checking Masquerading. Kroes, Nash Road Kylie and Burning Steel collided on the first turn checking Nash Road Kylie. Miss Cheekiness galloped on the heels of Aston Venus on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Kroes raced wide in the home straight.
Masquerading was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
