This meeting was declared hot weather affected. At the close of kennelling the outside temperature was 28.8 degrees and the kennel temperature was 19.4 degrees.

Atomic Kitten was quick to begin. Another Banji was slow to begin. Gold Crusher and Braided Silk collided on the first turn checking Braided Silk which contacted the running rail as a result. Atomic Kitten raced wide on the home turn. Braided Silk was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Pharoah's Dream was quick to begin. None So Special and Communique were slow to begin. Double Date, None So Special and All Inn Guning collided soon after the start checking All Inn Guning. None So Special and Communique collided on the first turn and approaching the home turn. Pharaoh's Dream and None So Special raced wide in the home straight. None So Special was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left back. A stand down period of 60 days was imposed.

None So Special was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a grade 2 tear to the left back muscle. A stand down of 60 days was imposed. Trainer Mr M.Pell, was advised that he must seek follow up veterinary treatment for the greyhound next day, as advised by the on course veterinarian.

All Inn Guning was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left rear foot. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Thompson, the handler of the greyhound All Inn Guning.  Stewards deemed the performance of All Inn Guning unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that All Inn Guning must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr P.Frost, the trainer of Miss Malaysia regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Miss Malaysia last raced on 5 August, 2017. Mr Frost stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a change of kennels.

Miss Malaysia and Badelaide Road collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Nellie Shan, Dundas Dave and Badelaide Road collided on the first turn checking Dundas Dave and Badelaide Road. Fairly Legal checked off Stella Story entering the back straight. Miss Malaysia checked off Nellie Shan on the second turn. Miss Malaysia was held up for a run behind Nellie Shan on the home turn. Fairly Legal and Nellie Shan collided entering the home straight.

Bakali Louis was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right fore foot. No stand down period was imposed.

Dundas Dave was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Krisbar Lou Lou was slow to begin.

Kismet Rose, Ultimate Impulse and Blue Berty collided approaching the first turn checking Ultimate Impulse and Blue Berty. Kismet Rose, Warming Galo's and Hully Gully collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Krisbar Lou Lou raced wide on the home turn.

Ultimate Impulse was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was found to have an illness. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed. Trainer Ms K.Bentley, was advised that she must seek follow up veterinary treatment for the greyhound within three days, as advised by the on course veterinarian.

Yaala was quick to begin. Beksun and Soeztoc were slow to begin. Yaala crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Gold Attraction, Soeztoc and Gidgee's Boss. Zambora Russ raced wide to the first turn. Gold Attraction, Soeztoc and Zambora Russ collided approaching the home turn checking Soeztoc and Zambora Russ. Swift Fozz faltered approaching the home turn, lost considerable ground and failed to finish. Soeztoc and Zambora Russ collided entering the home straight. Zambora Russ raced wide in the home straight.

Swift Fozz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock. A stand down period of 90 days was imposed. Trainer Mr N.Mason, was advised that he must seek follow up veterinary treatment for the greyhound next day, as advised by the on course veterinarian.

Following the event Stewards inspected the track and deemed it safe for racing.

Rockstar Barnes and Argyle Bonnie collided approaching the home turn checking Argyle Bonnie. Provision and Winlock Hadley collided on the home turn checking Winlock Hadley. Argyle Bonnie, Rockstar Barnes and Mac's Intention collided several times in the home straight checking Argyle Bonnie.

Provision was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right thigh muscle. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Dynastic Ruler was quick to begin. Good Golly Wally, Paints A Story and Pure Cascade collided soon after the start checking Blue Pepper. Beejay's Lad, Paint A Story, Pure Cascade and Good Golly Wally collided on the first turn checking Good Golly Wally. Good Golly Wally and Blue Pepper collided entering the back straight checking Blue Pepper. Good Golly Wally and Pure Cascade collided approaching the second turn and on the second turn.

Why Not Maxine was slow to begin. Tanazoo, Pesty Pyper and Liscoyle Lass collided soon after the start. Pesty Pyper, Liscpoyle Lass and Sammi Jay collided approaching the first turn. Kimmy Cabang, Why Not Maxine and Pesty Pyper collided on the first turn checking Pesty Pyper which collided with Liscoyle Lass. My Fernando Tim and Tanazoo collided approaching the home turn. Kimmy Cabang, Why Not Maxine and Sammi Jay collided approaching the home turn. My Fernando Tim and Tanazoo collided on the home turn. Kimmy Cabang and Why Not Maxine collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking Why Not Maxine. Liscoyle Lass and Pesty Pyper collided in the home straight. Sammi Jay raced wide in the home straight.

Lonesome Spring was slow to begin. Darragh's Gift and Miss Owlette collided approaching the first turn checking Darragh's Gift. Delaware Country and Miss Owlette collided on the first turn. Darragh's Gift galloped on the heels of Miss Owlette on the home turn checking Miss Owlette. Hillbilly June and Lonesome Spring collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Petre Knite Hawk and Chief Peekay were slow to begin. Blue Espearance, Chief Peekay and Beers On Us collided soon after the start checking Chief Peekay. Countless Carlow and Petre Knite Hawk collided several times on the first turn checking Petre Knite Hawk and Beers on Us. Petre Knite Hawk shortened stride in the back straight and and failed to complete the race. Dream Boulevard and Broken Axle collided several times on the home turn checking Broken Axle. Broken Axle eased in the home straight and collided with Blue Espearance.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Sharp, the trainer of the greyhound regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Petre Knite Hawk was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right stifle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Petre Knite Hawk with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Sharp pleaded guilty to the charge, Petre Knite Hawk was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Donlon, the handler of the greyhound Broken Axle regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Broken Axle was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left tarsus, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Broken Axle with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Donlon pleaded guilty to the charge, Broken Axle was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted. Handler Mr W.Donlon, was advised that he must seek follow up veterinary treatment for the greyhound within three days, as advised by the on course veterinarian.

Rocket Ruby was very slow to begin 4 (L).

Ricardo Sanchez, Soap and Frosty Tiara collided soon after the start. Ricardo Sanchez, Soap, Frosty Tiara and Why Not Archie collided approaching the first turn. Crocodile Dunphy, Soap, Ricardo Sanchez, Frosty Tiara and Why Not Archie collided on the first turn checking Crocodile Dunphy. Frosty Tiara and Agent Barry collided approaching the home turn. Rocket Ruby and Ricardo Sanchez collided on the home turn checking Rocket Ruby

Crackerjack Boof was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Basile, the trainer of the greyhound Crackerjack Boof regarding the greyhounds racing manners home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Crackerjack Boof with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Basile pleaded guilty to the charge, Crackerjack Boof was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Kraken Elroy trainer of Ms. H. Eyles declared a new weight of 30.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Kraken Elroy last raced at 32.0kg.

Neil Baker trainer of Leon's Wish declared a new weight of 32.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Leon's Wish last raced at 31.4kg.
