Big Boy Rocket, Badelaide Road and Stella Mcivor were slow to begin. Larry Mcivor, Little Nova and Move It collided soon after the start. Larry Mcivor and Little Nova collided approaching the first turn, checking Litte Nova. Sweet Angel and Macadamia Rose collided on the first turn, checking Macadamia Rose. Badelaide Road and Larry Mcivor collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Stella Mcivor checked off the heels of Macadamia Rose on the home turn.
