Steward's Report

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Gully Raider Mr. J. Lindrea regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Gully Raider last raced on 09/07/17.  Mr. Lindrea stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury.

Gully Raider was quick to begin.  Sunningdale and Flip collided soon after the start.  Duff Bale, Sunningdale and Flip collided approaching the first turn checking Sunningdale and Flip.  Duff Bale and Jonny Bravo collided entering the back straight.  Jonny Bravo and Le Doyen collided on the second turn checking Le Doyen.

Following the event 'hold all tickets' was declared to enable Stewards to view the video footage of the event to determine if any greyhound had been inconvenienced by the reduced distance of the lure from the leading greyhound, near the 315 metre boxes.  After viewing all available video footage Stewards deemed that no greyhound had been disadvantaged and acting under GAR 55(1) Stewards announced 'all clear'.

Stewards spoke to Lure Driver Mr. A. Inger and reminded him of his responsibilities to keep the lure the required distance in front of the leading greyhound at all times, stewards also advised the appropriate manager of this incident.
