Steward's Report
Pursuant to 104(6) Kennel Attendant Ms. A. Delaney did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Voluptuous Cleo and Topaz Rose were slow to begin. Mega McKayla and Birr collided soon after the start checking Mega McKayla. Short Mack checked off Zipping Waldo approaching the first turn checking Voluptuous Cleo and Voluptuous Ruby. Mega McKayla checked off Birr approaching the first turn. Zipping Waldo and Tolga collided on the home turn. Voluptuous Ruby and Mega McKayla collided entering the home straight. Short Mack marred Tolga in the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Short Mack was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Liapis, the representative of the greyhound Short Mack regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Short Mack with marring. Mr. Liapis pleaded guilty to the charge. Short Mack was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
