The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined My Arizona Room and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 10.42am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer A Terry was fined the sum of $100.

Inter Elesha was a late scratching at 10.28am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an injured right monkey muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr D Murray, the Trainer of Champion Exhibit, regardng the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Champion Exhibit last raced at Ballarat on 24 May, 2017.  Mr. Murray stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following the removal of a tendon to the right front foot.  Mr Murray also declared a new weight of 35.5 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Champion Exhibit last raced at a weight of 34.4 kgs.

Stewards spoke to Mr J Carr, the Trainer of Chubby Lane, regardng the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Chubby Lane last raced at Shepparton on 13 July, 2017, 2017.  Mr. Carr stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a broken back toe. 

Samba King was slow to begin.  Your Shout Punk, Tzar Knight and Sun Choice collided soon after the start.  Tzar Knight and Your Shout Punk collided several times approaching the 250m mark.  Magic Moon Dust, Wet And Wild and Sun Choice collided at the 200m mark.  Samba King, Shake The Night and Your Shout Punk collided at the 150m mark.  Your Shout Punk and Tzar Knight collided approaching the 50m mark.  Samba King and Wet And Wild collided approaching the winning post.
