Ms JanineWalker, the representative of Daintree Lilli, declared a new weight of 28.3 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Daintree Lilli last raced at 26.8 kgs.

Richardo Sanchez, Don One and Daintree Lilli collided soon after the start, checking Don One and Better Way.  Blue Berty checked off the heels of Haddi Bale approaching the first turn, checking Blue Berty, and severely checking Daintree Lilli and Atomic Kitten.  Atomic Kitten checked off the heels of Daintree Lilli on the first turn, checking Atomic Kitten, and severely checking Ricardo Sanchez.  Haddi Bale and Senor Sensation collided entering the home straight, checking Senor Sensation.

Stewards spoke to Mr Thomas Boehmke, the trainer of the greyhound Atomic Kitten, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.  Atomic Kitten was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to left hindleg shin soreness, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Atomic Kitten with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Boehmke pleaded guilty to the charge, Atomic Kitten was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
