La Bella Mimi, Billy Swagger and Glendenning collided soon after the start checking Billy Swagger. Sweet Angel and Beckio Fozzio collided approaching the first turn checking Beckio Fozzio. Macadamia Rose and San Remo Lass collided on the first turn severely checking San Remo Lass which contacted the running rail as a result checking All Inn Guning. La Bella Mimi and Sweet Angel collided on the home turn. Sweet Angel and Macadamia Rose collided in the home straight. Sweet Angel, Macadamia Rose and La Bella Mimi collided approaching the winning post.
San Remo Lass was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the tail base. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.
