Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Silver Wood.
Booma Mikado and King Gibbo collided soon after the start. Silver Wood and King Gibbo collided approaching the 250m mark. Cool Milo checked off Tricky Trey at the 250m mark, checking King Gibbo as a result. Booma Mikado and Cool Milo collided at the 200m mark. Silver Wood and King Gibbo collided at the 150m mark. Booma Mikado and Cool Milo collided approaching the 100m mark.
A urine sample was unable to be obtained from Tricky Trey, the winner of the event, subsequently a blood sample was taken.
MEETING COMMENTS
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Calven Russell, the trainer of Dicaprio, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Dicaprio last raced on 4 April 2016. Mr Russell stated that Dicaprio had changed kennels from interstate. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Dicaprio trialled over the 300m from box one, weight 30.9kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four. The time of the trial was 17.43, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.75L. Dicaprio was not cleared.
