Steward's Report
Tally Ho Jack went up with the lids at box rise. Fred Dagg and Scarlet's Secret collided soon after the start. Belron Brum crossed to the outside soon after the start. Fred Dagg checked off Scarlet's Secret at the 300m mark. Chaddy Whacker and It Is Done collided at the 250m mark. Chaddy Whacker and It Is Done collided at the 200m mark. Fred Dagg and It Is Done collided several times from the 150m mark to the 50m mark.
Fred Dagg was vetted following the event and it was reported that the greyhound sustained lacerations just above the left eye. A 10 day stand down period was imposed with a recommendation from Dr A Kalinowski, GRV Veterinary Surgeon, that the greyhound undergo further veterinary consultation within a 24 hour period. Stewards investigated the matter subsequent to the event and established that Fred Dagg hit the lining of the boxes prior to start. Stewards, together with the Starter, inspected the box prior to Race 5 and approved the box for use for the remainder of the program.
