Steward's Report
An Out of Competition urine sample was taken from Lektra Boss on Thursday 31st August 2017 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Pursell, kennel representative of Traveller's Joy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Traveller's Joy last raced on 13th May 2017. Mr Pursell stated that the greyhound is returing to racing from a right foreleg toe injury. Mr. Pursell also declared a new weight of 28.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2), last raced at 27.8kg.
The start of this event was delayed approximately 1 minute due to Hobart Harness race 6 running behind schedule.
Tiggerlong Nosey and Tiggerlong Scar collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Right Said Frank checked off Desert Spike approaching the first turn, checking Dimitri Bale, and severely checking Right Said Frank as a result. Dimitri Bale and Tiggerlong Nosey collided approaching the home turn. Lektra Boss and Thunder Of Night collided entering the home straight. Tiggerlong Scar checked off Traveller's Joy in the home straight.
A sample was taken from Lektra Boss - the winner of the event.
