Steward's Report
Terrigal Tornado was a late scratching at 8.17am due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Alina Grand, Veracity and Turbo Tom were slow to begin. Slingshot Sassy crossed to the inside soon after the start. Veracity, Ice Cool Kaedyn and Turbo Tom collided soon after the start. Ice Cool Kaedyn and Turbo Tom collided at the 300m mark. Alina Grand and He's Okay collided at the 300m mark. Veracity and Khaleesi Girl collided at the 250m mark. He's Okay and Turbo Tom collided at the 250m mark. Alina Grand and Slingshot Sassy collided at the 200m mark.
A sample was taken from Veracity - the winner of the event.
Slingshot Sassy was vetted following the event and after being revetted at 2.24pm, tt was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Trainer, J Ferguson, regarding the manner in which Slingshot Sassy raced soon after the start. After taking evidence from Mr Ferguson and acting on their own observations, Stewards issued a warning to J Ferguson regarding the manner in which Slingshot Sassy raced at that point of the event.
