A pre-race sample was taken from Boopa Doop Girl.
Burnsy's Sam was slow to begin. Myrniong Bomb, Buckle Up Jem, Fiery Miss and Senni Richard collided soon after the start. Fiery Miss, Careless Cookie and Boopa Doop Girl collided on the first turn checking Boopa Doop Girl and Fiery Miss and severely checking Burnsy's Sam; Careless Cookie fell as a result. Buckle Up Jem and In Dee Genes collided on the first turn checking Buckle Up Jem. Myrniong Bomb raced wide on the home turn. Fiery Miss and Boopa Doop Girl collided entering the home straight. Senni Richard and In Dee Genes collided in the home straight.
Careless Cookie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising to its right lateral radius / ulna area and an injury to its left back muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
