Stewards noted that the muzzle of Lola Allen became dislodged during the running of the event.

Stewards spoke to Ms. D. White regarding the direction that the greyhound Lola Allen be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Dahlhaus was a late scratching at 6:19pm due to non-arrival (GAR 31).  A mechanical breakdown was communicated to Stewards by telephone; trainer, Mr. J. Barbara was informed that he is required to provide relevant documentation to verify these circumstances before penalties are removed. Trainer, Mr. J. Barbara was fined the sum of $100.

Kiprotich was quick to begin.  Akina Blitz was slow to begin.  Snap Loch and Saving Lots collided on the first turn.  Doused In Mud and Aye Milo collided on the first turn.  Kiprotich and Doused In Mud collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Fess Crockett and Saving Lots collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking Saving Lots.

Careless Cookie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising to its right lateral radius / ulna area and an injury to its left back muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Canya Rousey trialled over the 311 metre distance from box 6, weight 25.5kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 17.73.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6.75 lengths.  Canya Rousey was cleared.

Augustus Dagloop trialled over the 311 metre distance from box 8, weight 33.3kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 17.73.  The greyhound won by a margin of 3.5 lengths.  Augustus Dagloop was cleared to race in one-eye (right side) blinker.
