Steward's Report
Better Way, Vectis Campinae and Some Spark were slow to begin.
Carlanna Casey checked off Nareen approaching the first turn. Banjo Snoopy and Nareen collided on the first turn checking Nareen. Nareen, Carlanna Casey and It Is Done collided approaching the second turn checking Nareen. Hillbilly Boy marred the running of Banjo Snoopy on the home turn. Hillbilly Boy and Banjo Snoopy collided entering the home straight. Hillbilly Boy turned his head outwards towards Some Spark approaching the winning post checking Banjo Snoopy.
Hillbilly Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Hendy, the trainer of the greyhound Hillbilly Boy regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Hillbilly Boy with marring. Mr. Hendy pleaded guilty to the charge, Hillbilly Boy was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
