An Out of Competition sample was taken from Lektra Flame, engaged in this event, on 16th October 2017 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Oakleigh Rose was slow to begin. Oakleigh Rose and Lucky Love collided soon after the start. Lucky Love and Diamond Vee collided soon after the start. Empire Entourage and Oakleigh Rose collided on the first turn; Oakleigh Rose faltered and tailed off and He Shall Peter was checked as a result. Meehan Deano raced wide approaching the home turn.
Oakleigh Rose was vetted following the event. it was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left chest muscle and right back muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Diamond Vee was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right wrist. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
