Ruby Ohara, Isen Allen and Fred Dagg were quick to begin.  Stevie Gee and Amaroo Bazinga were slow to begin.  Agent Waddle and Isen Allen collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Agent Waddle.  Louie Allen and Agent Waddle collided on the first turn.  Agent Waddle checked off Fred Dagg approaching the home turn.  Bluehawk Ralph and Louie Allen collided approaching the home turn checking Amaroo Bazinga and severely checking Stevie Gee; Stevie Gee stumbled causing Bluehawk Ralph to fall as a result.

Lulu Lollipop was quick to begin.  Kyrgios and Coolan Man were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Cool Boots checked off Lulu Lollipop approaching the first turn.  Cool Boots and Midnight Kebab collided on the first turn checking Midnight Kebab.  Cool Boots and Jailor Bale collided on the home turn.

A raceday sample was taken from Zambora Idol this morning.

This race was delayed by approximately one minute to allow for a pre-race veterinary inspection on Zambora Idol; the greyhound was subsequently passed fit to race.

Leopardstown was slow to begin. Blackhaven and Burn One Down collided soon after the start.  Burn One Down crossed to the outside approaching the first turn checking Three Scoops, Dusty Gambler and Barroom Counsel.  Leopardstown faltered on the first turn and subsequently tailed off.  Blackhaven raced wide in the back straight.  Zambora Idol and Three Scoops collided on the third turn.  Dusty Gambler and Barroom Counsel collided on the home turn.

Leopardstown was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right back muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Oakleigh Rose was slow to begin.  Oakleigh Rose and Lucky Love collided soon after the start.  Lucky Love and Diamond Vee collided soon after the start.  Empire Entourage and Oakleigh Rose collided on the first turn; Oakleigh Rose faltered and tailed off and He Shall Peter was checked as a result.  Meehan Deano raced wide approaching the home turn.

Oakleigh Rose was vetted following the event.  it was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left chest muscle and right back muscle.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Diamond Vee was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right wrist.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

An Out of Competition sample was taken from Ringading Sister, engaged in this event, on 16th October 2017 pursuant to GAR 79A.

A pre-race sample was taken from Lady Spur.

Ringading Sister, Lady Spur, Little Black Joe and Zipping Oliver collided soon after the start checking Lady Spur.  Little Black Joe and Zipping Oliver collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Little Black Joe.  Little Tacka and Zipping Paris collided on the first turn.  Little Black Joe faltered on the first turn and lost ground.  Zipping Oliver checked off Allen Optic on the first turn.

Little Black Joe was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 10, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right triangle muscle.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Invictus Legion and He Shall Fred were slow to begin.  Invictus Legion, Bont's Magic and Zara's Pride collided soon after the start.  Zed Merrett crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Zara's Pride and Small Rose and causing Invictus Legion to gallop on the heels of Division Four; Invictus Legion stumbled and lost ground, Division Four fell and Bont's Magic was severely checked as a result.

Division Four was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its lumbar sacral region, right sesamoid and right elbow.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Invictus Legion was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right monkey muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Vanishka and Wadelock Sampson were quick to begin.  Vanishka and Johnnie Red collided approaching the first turn checking Vanishka, Go Go Guru and Ants In Pants.  Johnnie Red crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Go Go Guru and Vanishka.  Ants In Pants stumbled approaching the home turn.

Le Sands and So Fine were quick to begin.  Weasley Grange and Black Paws collided soon after the start.  Black Paws crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Crown Princess and severely checking Weasley Grange.  Master Reid brushed the running rail on the first turn.  So Fine and Black Paws collided approaching the winning post.

Caro's Arrow trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 1, weight 30.0kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.62.  The greyhound won by a margin of a neck.  Caro's Arrow was cleared.
