Steward's Report
Bluehawk Ralph was quick to begin. Aye Drainer and Evie Lass were slow to begin. Aofie was very slow to begin (3 lengths).
Aofie eased and failed to pursue the lure approaching the home turn, veering out severely checking Titanium Girl and Aofie.
Stewards spoke to Mr M. Jones, the trainer of the greyhound Aofie regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Aofie was vetted and or re-vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right hind, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Aofie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Jones pleaded not guilty to the charge, Aofie was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
