Lektra Guiseppe was quick to begin. Royal Solo and Dee Final Siren were slow to begin.
Royal Solo and Sable Sass collided soon after the start. Sable Sass, Whiz and Elaine Avenue collided on the first turn, checking Whiz, Elaine Avenue and Geopark Ruby. Royal Solo raced wide on the first turn, checking Garku Bale, and Dee Final Siren which raced wide as a result. Sable Sass and Whiz collided approaching the second turn, checking Elaine Avenue and Dee Final Siren, and severely checking Sable Sass, Whiz and Geopark Ruby. Dee Final Siren checked off Whiz on the second turn. Sable Sass and Garku Bale collided on the second turn, checking Sable Sass and Dee Final Siren, and severely checking Whiz and Geopark Ruby. Sable Sass and Dee Final Siren collided approaching the home turn.
Whiz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right pectoral (chest) muscle and a laceration to the left hock. A ten-day stand down period was imposed
