A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Miss Legality, a post race sample was subsequently taken.
Maderra was quick to begin. Miss Legality was slow to begin. Coolan Man and Roland View collided on the first turn checking Roland View. Miss Legality clipped the heels of Hyundai Hawk on the first turn checking Miss Legality. Birkenhead galloped on Miss Legality approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Miss Legality was checked off Birkenhead approaching the winning post.
