Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Keel the representative for Crown Princess regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Crown Princess last raced on 11/05/17. Mr. Keel stated that the greyhound was returning from a seasonal spell.
A pre-race sample was taken from Crown Princess.
Lektra Flame was quick to begin. Crown Princess was slow to begin. Crown Princess, Usain Gilbert and Mea Rose collided approaching the first turn. Crooked Vulture, Wheel And Deal and Riviera Cruz collided on the first turn checking Crooked Vulture.
Mea Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent, Mr. Thomas declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Thomas the trainer of the greyhound Mea Rose. Stewards deemed the performance of Mea Rose unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71 Stewards directed that Mea Rose must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.
