In the follow on after the winning post, the catching pen gate flap was closed prematurely and the lure struck the gate flap, damaging both the lure and the gate.

Due to repairs being made to the lure and the catching pen gate Races 2 to 11 were put back, timewise, by one race, with Race 12 being rescheduled to 11:05 pm.

Mr B Chapman acted as starter from Race 2 onwards.

Mr A Graham, trainer of Evil Pedro, reported that his greyhound had, in his view, shown mild signs of cramping in the catching pen, but had been fine a short time later.    

Mr P Ellis, trainer of Pepper Shannon, declared a new weight of 29.3 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Pepper Shannon last raced at 30.8 kgs.

Blue Fortitude was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Stewards spoke to Ms Julie Ward, the trainer of the greyhound Blue Fortitude.  Stewards deemed the performance of Blue Fortitude unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Blue Fortitude must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Tat Odin was a late scratching at 8:42 pm, due to a right shoulder injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
