Steward's Report
Mr. L. Floyd, trainer of Penny Lane Keats declared a new weight of 27.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Penny Lane Keats last raced at 26.6kg.
Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Yard Attendant Mrs. E. Delios did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Invictus Helena and Ends Well were quick to begin. Power Burst and Marinara Girl collided soon after the start. Invictus Helena and Penny Lane Keats collided on the first turn checking Penny Lane Keats and Seaton Star. Apila Moola and Ends Well collided entering the back straight checking Apila Moola. Come To Play was checked off Ends Well in the back straight checking Ends Well and Invictus Helena. Ends Well and Invictus Helena collided on the second turn checking Invictus Helena, Ends Well, Marinara Girl and Come To Play. Marinara Girl was checked off Invictus Helena on the second turn and raced wide. Power Burst and Penny Lane Keats collided approaching the home turn. Power Burst cramped on the home turn and subsequently pulled up. Apila Moola was checked off Penny Lane Keats entering the home straight.
Power Burst was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was found to have suffered cramp in both hind legs, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. P. Andrews the trainer of the greyhound Power Burst. Acting in accordance with GAR 71(cramp) Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a satisfactory trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
