Dr. Lola was a late scratching at 3:36pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Able Bess and Stitch Gun Miss were quick to begin. Able Bess crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Blazin' Romeo, Dr. Tracey and Hilary's Beers, Hilary's Beers lost considerable ground as a result. Scrumble, All In, Blazin' Romeo and Able Bess collided on the first turn checking Able Bess. Able Bess clipped the heels of Blazin' Romeo approaching the home turn and stumbled. Blazin' Romeo and All In collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds, both greyhounds raced wide. Blazin' Romeo crossed to the rail entering the home straight and checked off Able Bess checking Able Bess.
Hilary's Beers was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right metacarpals, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
