Chief Mingo and Kilty Jewel were quick to begin.  Rooster Bush, Chief Mingo and Lochinvar Adore collided approaching the first turn checking Lochinvar Adore.  Xtreme Gift and Chief Mingo collided on the first turn and several times approaching the home turn.  Xtreme Gift raced wide on the home turn.

Mr. P. Keane, trainer of Speedy Scar declared a new weight of 35.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Speedy Scar last raced at 33.7kgs.

Mexican Terror stumbled on the first turn. Mexican Terror, which faltered in the home straight, was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock.  The greyhound was humanely euthanised.
