Steward's Report
Percy's Empire crossed to the rails soon after the start, checking Hot Tip, Mepunga Molly and Dyna Yezza. Dyna Yezza, Rockin' Roz and Dyna Kushida collided approaching the first turn, checking Dyna Kushida. Dyna Yezza and Mepunga Molly collided on the first turn. Dyna Yezza, Mepunga Molly and Hot Tip collided on the second turn. Hot Tip and Rockin' Roz collided on the third turn. Dyna Kushida faded entering the home straight and lost ground, checking Hot Tip and Rockin' Roz.
Dyna Kushida was vetted following a fall after the winning post. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to the Handler of Hot Tip, Mr Vince Tullio regarding his dress standards this evening. The Stewards issued a charge to Mr Tullio for a breach of LRR 22.3 (a) (4) in that he failed to wear footwear in accordance with the GRV Dress Code. Mr Tullio pleaded not guilty to the charge. Mr Tullio was found guilty as charged. Mr Tullio had recently been warned for this same issue. Mr Tullio was fined $100.
A sample was taken from Carltonian - winner of the event.
Following the event, Stewards inspected a section of the track after the winning post and deemed the surface safe for racing.
