This meeting was declared hot weather affected.
During kennelling the ambient outside temperature was 28.0 degrees. The kennel temperature was 18.8 degrees.
Track Manager Mr Corey Hiscock advised that the track was Medium harrowed on Sunday 10 December 2017.
Jamie's Rocket was a late scratching at 9:06am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Jay Robinson was fined the sum of $100.
Fat Rhino was slow to begin.
Dyna Yami, Sisco Bella, Aston Utah and Pop The Trunk collided soon after the start, checking Sisco Bella and Barge Bale. Barge Bale and Sisco Bella collided soon after the start and approaching the first turn, checking Fat Rhino. Shadow Kissed and Sisco Bella collided approaching the second turn. Fat Rhino galloped on the heels of Sisco Bella approaching the second turn, severely checking Sisco Bella. Fat Rhino and Barge Bale collided on the second turn. Shadow Kissed and Barge Bale collided on the third turn. Aston Utah galloped on the heels of Dyna Yami approaching the home turn.
Sisco Bella was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right pectoral (chest) muscle and a laceration to the right hock. A three-day stand down period was imposed.
