Steward's Report
Keep On Runnin' was a late scratching at 2:47PM due to illness (GAR 23). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Goldenpaw Buzz and Isaac's Magic were slow to begin.
Isaac's Magic faltered soon after the start. Fruit Frames and Redhead Chez collided on the first turn, checking Redhead Chez. Warming Galo's galloped on Arlecchino on the first turn, checking Goldenpaw Buzz. Zipping Brandy raced wide approaching the home turn and collided several times with Goldenpaw Buzz in the home straight.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr Steven Collins, the trainer of Zipping Brandy, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.
Zipping Brandy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained superficial lacerations to the right fore and hind legs. No stand down period was imposed.
Isaac's Magic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right long head triceps (monkey) muscle. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.
