Steward's Report
Another Shiner went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Dyna Zaynabi and Brindle Bay were slow to begin. Fairy Where and Vanilla Kiss collided soon after the start. Miss Fox and I'm So Late collided soon after the start. Brindle Bay galloped on Vanilla Kiss approaching the first turn. Lochinvar Rox failed to pursue the lure on the second turn checking Fairy Where. Miss Fox and I'm So Late collided entering the back straight. Another Shiner, Lochinvar Rox, Miss Fox and Fairy Where collided on the third turn severely checking Lochinvar Rox, Miss Fox and Fairy Where.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. T. Kenny-Harris the representative of the greyhound Lochinvar Rox regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the second turn. Lochinvar Rox was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 11, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured toe on both front feet, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Lochinvar Rox with failing to pursue the lure with due committment by reason of injury. Mrs. Kennedy-Harris pleaded guilty to the charge, Lochinvar Rox was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
