A pre-race sample was taken from Ripsaw Ronny.
Media Street, Dr. Luvdisc and Born Molly were slow to begin. Explosive Sky was checked off Rusty Mia soon after the start. Media Street, Danger Bale, Explosive Sky and Dr. Luvdisc collided on the first turn checking Media Street and Danger Bale and severely checking Explosive Sky. Ripsaw Ronny raced wide on the second turn and lost ground.
Ripsaw Ronny was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
