Stewards spoke to Mr Jason Formosa, the trainer of the greyhound Speedway Doll.  Stewards deemed the performance of Speedway Doll unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Speedway Dolll must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr Jason Formosa, the trainer of Speedway Doll, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at box rise.

Maireana and Papa Duncs were slow to begin.  Mega Hazel crossed to the inside on the first turn, checking Cawbourne Lambo, Speedway Lass, Toffee Lady, Blazin' About, Misload and Papa Duncs.  Blazin' About galloped on Mega Hazel entering the back straight, checking Speedway Lass, Toffee Lady, Papa Duncs and Mega Hazel, and severely checking Blazin' About.  Maireana and Mega Hazel collided on the second turn, checking Maireana and Speedway Lass.  Papa Duncs raced wide on the second turn.  Speedway Lass and Maireana collided on the home turn, checking Maireana.  Speedway Lass and Maireana collided approaching the winning post.

Dr Shreds, Black Shirley and Dr Paula were slow to begin.  Dr Shreds checked off Jaggered Nikki on the first turn.  Jaggered Nikki and Fawntastic Kate collided on the first turn.  Dr Paula checked off Black Shirley on the second turn; causing Dr Paula to ease and pull up, taking no further part in the event.  Ann Cherie checked off Mt View Gift approaching the home turn.  Dr Shreds and Fawntastic Kate collided in the home straight.

Jaggered Nikki was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained right hindleg achilles tendon and calf injuries, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr Paula was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Trainer, Mr William McMahon, declined a revet for the greyhound.

Stewards spoke to Mr William McMahon, the trainer of the greyhound Dr Paula, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the second turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Dr Paula with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr McMahon pleaded guilty to the charge, Dr Paula was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Jonny Bravo.

Amaroo Gonzales and Pristina Lad were slow to begin.  Jonny Bravo and Pristina Lad collided soon after the start, checking Pristina Lad.  Will Dazzle, Jonny Bravo and Stately Kay collided on the first turn, checking Amaroo Gonzales, Viewing, Jonny Bravo and Pristina Lad.  Lonesome Katie and Mandela Sun collided on the home turn.  Mandela Sun marred Lonesome Katie entering the home straight.  Lonesome Katie and Mandela Sun collided several times in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr Phillip Pollutro, the trainer of the greyhound Mandela Sun, regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Mandela Sun with marring.  Mr Pollutro pleaded not guilty to the charge, Mandela Sun was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for three months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Run Rita Run and Dr Tracey were quick to begin.  Spotted Label was slow to begin.  Titanium Boy and Give Away King collided soon after the start.  Fess Crocket crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Dr Tracey.  Titanium Boy and Allen Zero collided on the first turn, checking Titanium Boy.  Run Rita Run and Dr Tracey collided approaching the second turn.  Give Away King checked off Dr Tracey on the third turn.  Run Rita Run and Spotted Label collided on the home turn.

Run Rita Run was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left metacarpal.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke with Mr. A. Campbell, the trainer of Run Rita Run regarding the greyhound performing below market expectations.  Mr. Campbell stated that he expected a bold performance from Run Rita Run but would benefit from her first run in six weeks.  Stewards noted his explanation and took no further action.

Dr. Flannigan was quick to begin.  Delta's Magic and Make It Happen collided soon after the start, checking Make It Happen.  Blazing Lane and Marvellous Midge collided on the first turn, checking Marvellous Midge.  Zulu Zoe, Marvellous Midge and Blazing Lane collided entering the home straight, checking Marvellous Midge.  Marvellous Midge and Make It Happen collided in the back straight, checking both greyhounds.  Marvellous Midge and Make It Happen collided on the second turn, checking Marvellous Midge.  Delta's Magic and About To Cry collided in the home straight.

Regas Baby and Parie Shiraz were slow to begin.  Superior Scotch and Slick Assassian collided on the first turn, checking Superior Scotch, Slick Assassian and Podium Express.  Dr Summer crossed to the inside on the first turn, checking Tilley's Pie, causing Big Skeeta to gallop on Tilley's Pie, checking Podium Express, severely checking Big Skeeta, Tilley's Pie, Superior Scotch and Slick Assassian, and causing Tilley's Pie to stumble as a result.  Big Skeeta and Slick Assassian collided in the back straight, checking Slick Assassian, severely checking Big Skeeta which stumbled as a result.

Tilley's Pie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising to the left and right hindleg paws.  No stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Zoehah's Legacy.

Zoenah's Legacy and Scooby Boy collided soon after the start.  Tiger Jams and Extra Kisses collided approaching the first turn.  Scooby Boy, Kev's Choice and Extra Kisses collided on the first turn.  Zoenah's Legacy and Extra Kisses collided entering the home straight.  Scooby Boy and Tiger Jams collided approaching the winning post.

Mr Brendan Moles, trainer of Rusty Mia, declared a new weight of 25.6 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Rusty Mia last raced at 26.9 kgs.

Flip, Soda Storm and Gammy's Choice were quick to begin.  Special Member, All About Arby and Persuader were slow to begin.  Flip, Gammy's Choice and Soda Storm collided on the first turn, checking Flip.  Gammy's Choice and Le Doyen collided in the back straight.  Le Doyen checked off Gammy's Choice approaching the second turn.  Le Doyen galloped on Gammy's Choice on the second turn, checking Flip, Gammy's Choice and Le Doyen, causing Flip to race wide as a result.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Lulu Noir trialled over the 315m from box one, weight 29.4 kgs, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 18:29, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 15.5 lengths.  Lulu Noir was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Johnny Bullet trialled over the 315m from box three, weight 33.3 kgs, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 18:29, the greyhound won by a margin of 6.25 lengths.  Johnny Bullet was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Knuckle Biter trialled over the 315m from box six, weight 29.9 kgs, the greyhound was placed third in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 18:29, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 14.0 lengths.  Knuckle Biter was Cleared.
