Steward's Report
Joyce's Choice was a late scratching at 6.28pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an infection in right front foot. A 14day stand down period was imposed.
Boom Flash was slow to begin.
Paua Te Kuri, Dr. Jezabel and Perfect Hours collided on the first turn. Dr, Summer, Dr. Jezabel and Perfect Hours collided in the back straight. Dr. Jezabel checked off Dr. Summer on the second turn checking Dr. Jezabel and Perfect Hours. Boom Flash marred Trap Queen on the winning post.
Boom Flash was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke toMr Don Rhodes,the (trainer/handler) of the greyhound Boom Flash regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Boom Flash with marring. Mr Don Rhodes pleaded guilty to the charge, Boom Flash was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
