Nash Road Betty, Primed Engine and Pancake collided on the first turn severely checking Flashing Oaks, Pancake and Weeona Annie.  Sisco Knoght and Flashing Oaks collided in the back straight checking Flashing Oaks.  

Joyce's Choice was a late scratching at 6.28pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an infection in right front foot. A 14day stand down period was imposed.

Boom Flash was slow to begin.

Paua Te Kuri, Dr. Jezabel and Perfect Hours collided on the first turn.  Dr, Summer, Dr. Jezabel and Perfect Hours collided in the back straight.  Dr. Jezabel checked off Dr. Summer on the second turn checking Dr. Jezabel and Perfect Hours.  Boom Flash marred Trap Queen on the winning post.

Boom Flash was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke toMr Don Rhodes,the (trainer/handler) of the greyhound Boom Flash regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Boom Flash with marring. Mr Don Rhodes pleaded guilty to the charge, Boom Flash was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Trap Queen - winner of the event.

This event was delayed by approximately 2mins due to the Burnie Harness event.

Bro Sam's Hook and Vintage Storm collided on the first turn.  Dewana Dimie and Kwazii collided on the first turn.  Vintage Storm and Dr. Eleonora collided entering the front straight checking Vintage Storm and severely checking Dr. Eleonara.  Vintage Storm and Dr. Eleonora collided approaching the home turn.  Dewana Dimie eased and failed to pursue the lure in the home straight checking Two Dollar Pots.

Stewards spoke to Mr B. Dewan, the trainer of the greyhound Dewana Dimie regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Dewana Dimie was vetted and re-vetted following event 6. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to left triangle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Dewana Dimie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Dewan pleaded not guilty to the charge, Dewana Dimie was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

No Passengers and Lottie Glenda collided soon after the start.  No Passengers, Lottie Glenda and Mahi Indian collided approaching the first turn checking Labuan Starfish.  Labuan Starfish and Nice Work collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Mahi Indian checked off Cryer's Plugger on the first turn.  Aston Grace and Cryer's Plugger collided on the first turn checking Mahi Indian.  Mahi Indian and Labuan Starfish collided approaching the second turn checking Labuan Starfish.

Akina Blitz was slow to begin.

Our Delta Rose crossed in soon after the start and collided with Dr. Noely, Hazelwood Flyer and Allen Zero.  Akina Blitz and Hazelwood Flyer collided on the first turn.

Zinda Neveelk and Trixta Rox collided soon after the start.  Dewana Interest and Dyna Jerry collided on the first turn.  Aston Ando, Miss Dee Meadows and Zipping Selma collided entering the back straight checking Aston Ando.  Aston Ando checked off Zipping Selma approaching the home turn.  Johnny Bullet, Dewana Interest and Dyna Jerry collided on the home turn and again in the home straight causing Johnny Bullet to have his muzzle lodged into he's teeth and raced erratically over the concluding stages.

Ultimate Conor and Gotcha Mate were quick to begin.

Josie Rumble, Galester Hook, Lucky Tetris and Mallee Spring collided soon after the start checking Mallee Spring and Lucky Tetris.  Galester Hook and Josie Rumble collided approaching the first turn checking Galester Hook.  Lucky Tetris clipped the heels of Gotcha Mate approaching the second turn checking Gotcha Mate.  Lucky Tetris checked off Galester Hook on the home turn.  Flywheel Strike and Mallee Spring collided in the home straight.

Sunsey Believer, Dyna Misty, Bossino and Lovely collided on the first turn checking Bossino, Lovely and severely checking Dyna Misty which fell as a result.  Lovely and Mega Secret collided entering the back straight checking Mega Secret.  Mega Secret checked off Soda Storm in the back straight.

Lovely was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist sprain injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Jasocate was a late scratching at 6.46pm due to a car breakdown by Mr S. Schembri.  Mr Schembri was advised that there would be a non-penalty, providing a receipt of the breakdown was produced.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dr. Gammiris.

Cookie Rose crossed in on the first turn checking Screaming Oaks.  Wicked Pedro galloped on Tram Tracker in the back straight checking Dr. Gamiris, Tram Tracker, Riverside Kim and severely checking Cookie Rose and Wicked Pedro.  Cookie Rose raced wide in the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr W. McMahon, the trainer of Stand As One regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Stand As One last raced on 5th April 2017.  Mr McMahon stated that the greyhound was returning from a change of kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Stand As One trialled over the 395mtrs from box 1, weight 25.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.77, the greyhound won by a margin of 10 lengths.  Stand As One was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Dr. Paula trialled over the 395mtrs from box 8,weight 24.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4.The time of the trial was 22.77, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 97 lengths. Dr. Paula was Not Cleared.
