Storm The Sorrow, Mr. Candyman and Twilight Shae were slow to begin. Lucy's Locket and Soft Music collided on the first turn checking Soft Music. Blue Fortitude, Mr. Candyman and Twilight Shae collided on the first turn checking Mr. Candyman and Twilight Shae. Blue Fortitude and Hilux collided approaching the home turn checking Hilux. Blue Fortitude clipped the heels of Storm The Sorrow on the home turn. Storm The Sorrow turned toward Soft Music twice on the home turn and collided with Soft Music checking both greyhounds.

Soft Music was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right groin muscle injury. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. S. Taylor, the trainer of the greyhound Storm The Sorrow regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Storm The Sorrow was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to be suffering heat stress, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Storm The Sorrow with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Taylor pleaded guilty to the charge, Storm The Sorrow was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
