Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Totally Bullish.
Liberty Sage was quick to begin. Magic Flora and Totally Bullish were slow to begin.
Dyna Maple and Hope collided soon after the start. Flashing Oaks checked off Galloping Micky on the first turn checking Proving Ground. Galloping Micky eased and raced wide approaching the home turn severely checking Liberty Sage. Flashing Oaks and Magic Flora collided approaching the home turn checking Flashing Oaks and Proving Ground, Magic Flora fell as a result. Proving Ground raced wide approaching the home turn.
Magic Flora was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right thigh injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Hope was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr G. Sneyders, the representative of Hope regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn.
Galloping Micky was vetted and re-vetted following event 5. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr R. Conway, the trainer of the greyhound Galloping Micky regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Galloping Micky with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Conway pleaded guilty to the charge, Galloping Micky was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
