Steward's Report
This meeting was declared hot weather affected. At the close of kennelling the outside temperature was 31.5 degrees and the kennel temperature was 19.2 degrees.
Bolton Blue was a late scratching at 11:08am due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Why Not Archie and Hit Me Up were quick to begin. Maximum Gift was slow to begin. Some Spark and Maximum Gift collided on the first turn. Maximum Gift and Tat Tubby collided several times early in the home straight.
A sample was taken from Tritt Tritt, winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to handler, Mr. R. Fisher after the greyhound Maximum Gift was placed in the incorrect kennel following the event. Mr. Fisher was issued with a warning and reminded when kennelling he ensures greyhounds are kennelled in accordance with kennel procedure.
