Dimitri Bale was slow to begin. Zambora Pride and Roger Express collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Rido's Ace and Carla Zeus collided on the first turn. Carla Zeus and Silky Strings collided on the first turn. Zambora Pride checked off Dimitri Bale approaching the second turn. Silky Strings faltered and lost ground in the back straight. Dimitri Bale raced ungenerously and collided with Rido's Ace in the home straight.
Rido's Ace was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right shin soreness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Silky Strings was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right back muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Dimitri Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left pectoral muscle and left triangle muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. J. Collins, the representative of Dimitri Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
