Steward's Report
Antoine and Straitline Willy were slow to begin. Straitline Willy and Don One collided soon after the start. Don One and Antoine collided approaching the first turn. Slick Assassian, Miss Hanna Berry and Sambucca Rose collided approaching the first turn. Challis Ridge and Bye All collided on the first turn checking Challis Ridge which faltered and tailed off. Slick Assassian and Sambucca Rose collided on the first turn. Straitline Willy and Slick Assassian collided on the first turn checking Slick Assassian and Don One and severely checking Antoine. Slick Assassian and Sambucca Rose collided approaching the second turn.
Challis Ridge was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured left hock and was humanely euthanased.
Stewards spoke to Kennel Attendant Mr. A. Kleeven and reminded him of his responsibilities to ensure the greyhounds are placed in the correct kennel during kennelling time after Miss Hanna Berry was placed in the incorrect kennel (GAR 41).
