Ashworth the trainer of Ann Cherie regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Ann Cherie last raced on 05/06/17.  Mrs. Ashworth stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a seasonal spell.  Mrs. Ashworth declared a new weight of 26.3kg for the greyhound in accordance wtih GAR 39(2).  Ann Cherie last raced at 27.9kg.

Trinity Kid was quick to begin.  Ann Cherie and Hardaway Hitman were slow to begin.  Hurricane Lucas was very slow to begin (5 lengths).  Liberty Sage and Miss Coffee collided soon after the start.  Liberty Sage, Miss Coffee and Ann Cherie collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Coffee.  Boydy and Miss Coffee collided approaching the first turn checking Liberty Sage.  Macreadie and Trinity Kid collided on the first turn.  Miss Coffee contacted the running rail on the first turn.  Liberty Sage and Hardaway Hitman collided on the first turn checking Hardaway Hitman.  Macreadie and Trinity Kid collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Trinity Kid and severely checking Miss Coffee and Macreadie, Macreadie fell as a result.

Macreadie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a small abrasion to the tongue and left dew claw, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Hurricane Lucas was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Darb's The Man was a late scratching at 3.02pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. K. Mitchell was fined the sum of $100.

Black Shirley and Zipping Foy were slow to begin.  Saboteur and Dr. Sparkles collided approaching the first turn checking Dr. Sparkles.  Dr. Sparkles and Belleperi Miss collided on the first turn checking Dr. Sparkles.  Zipping Foy was checked off Black Shirley approaching the second turn.  Zipping Foy raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Blue Magoo and Tail Inspector were slow to begin.  Galloping Tina and Aoife collided approaching the first turn checking Galloping Tina.  Galloping Tina and Blue Magoo collided approaching the first turn severely checking Galloping Tina which stumbled as a result.  Blue Magoo was checked off Bowon Approach approaching the second turn.  Torh Minter raced wide on the second turn.  Aoife marred Torh Minter on the third turn, on the home turn and in the home straight causing Galloping Tina to race wide in the home straight.

Torh Minter was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a small laceration to a toe on the right hind foot, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Galloping Tina was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured neck, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Tail Inspector was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 8, it was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Carrodus-Nagy the trainer of Tail Inspector.  Mr. Carrodus-Nagy stated that he felt the greyhound had ran up to her ability today.  Stewards noted the explanation and took no further action.

Aoife was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Jones the trainer of the greyhound Aoife regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the third turn, home turn and in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Aoife with marring.  Mr. Jones pleaded guilty to the charge, Aoife was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Bevvies Bullet, Kayla Las and Nick were slow to begin.  Extra Kisses and Evie Louise collided soon after the start.  Evie Louise, Extra Kisses and Gypsy Marlow collided approaching the first turn checking Extra Kisses and Gypsy Marlow.  Yaala and Our Echo Rose collided approaching the home turn, on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Antoine and Straitline Willy were slow to begin.  Straitline Willy and Don One collided soon after the start.  Don One and Antoine collided approaching the first turn.  Slick Assassian, Miss Hanna Berry and Sambucca Rose collided approaching the first turn.  Challis Ridge and Bye All collided on the first turn checking Challis Ridge which faltered and tailed off.  Slick Assassian and Sambucca Rose collided on the first turn.  Straitline Willy and Slick Assassian collided on the first turn checking Slick Assassian and Don One and severely checking Antoine.  Slick Assassian and Sambucca Rose collided approaching the second turn.

Challis Ridge was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured left hock and was humanely euthanased.

Stewards spoke to Kennel Attendant Mr. A. Kleeven and reminded him of his responsibilities to ensure the greyhounds are placed in the correct kennel during kennelling time after Miss Hanna Berry was placed in the incorrect kennel (GAR 41).

McPhie the trainer of Ballymac Finola regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Ballymac Finola last raced on 21/05/17.  Mr. McPhie stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a seasonal spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Ballymac Finola trialled over 315 metres from box 8, weight 29.4kg, the greyhound was placed third in  field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.64 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4 lengths.  Ballymac Finola was cleared.

Satisfactory trial results:-

Siver Lightning trialled over 315 metres from box 3, weight 26.8kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.64 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.75 lengths. Siver Lightning was cleared.

Cosmic Reign trialled over 315 metres from box 7, weight 31.7kg, the greyhound was placed fifth in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.64 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9.5 lengths. Cosmic Reign was cleared.

Hyundai Hawk trialled over 315 metres from box 4, weight 32.6kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.64 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 2.75 lengths. Hyundai Hawk was cleared.

Lucky Andy trialled over 315 metres from box 1, weight 31.5kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 18.64 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.75 lengths. Lucky Andy was cleared.
