Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Aulakh, the trainer of Majha Male regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Majha Male last raced on 28 March 2017. Mr. P. Aulakh stated that the greyhound was resuming from a left tibia injury.
Mr. P. Aulakh, trainer of Majha Male declared a new weight of 32.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Majha Male last raced at 30.6kg.
Majha Male was very slow to begin. Zipping Chaser was slow to begin. Majha Male failed to pursue the lure with due commitment soon after the start. Dyna Alistair and Dyna Xervo collided soon after the start, checking Shellbrook. Dyna Alistair and Dyna Xanna collided on the second turn, checking Zipping Chaser.
A sample was taken from Dutch Legacy - the winner of the event.
Majha Male was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right monkey muscle and left pencil muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Aulakh, the trainer of the greyhound Majha Male regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Majha Male with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Aulakh pleaded guilty to the charge, Majha Male was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
