Secret Business was quick to begin. Phil's In Luck and Ya Welcome collided on the first turn. Phil's In Luck, Ya Welcome, Dr. Sherlock and Dr. Yanma collided entering the back straight. Phil's In Luck lost ground entering the back straight and checked Vanilla Kiss as a result. Vanilla Kiss checked off Beaver Neveelk in the home straight.
Phil's In Luck was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 10, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right back muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
