Kennels closed approximately ten minutes late due to computer issues.
Awesome Kate and Kouta And Cream were quick to begin. How's It Thunder went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin (3L).
Don's Tron, Little Big Chief and Hully Gully collided soon after the start, checking all three greyhounds. Miss Yaala and Maximum Bliss collided approaching the first turn, checking Miss Yaala. How's It Thunder and Hully Gully collided approaching the first turn, checking Hully Gully. Maximum Bliss and Awesome Kate collided on the first turn, checking Awesome Kate. How's It Thunder galloped on the heels of Awesome Kate approaching the home turn, severely checking both greyhounds. Little Big Chief and Hully Gully collided approaching the winning post, checking Hully Gully.
Awesome Kate was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right latissimus dorsi-trapezius muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
